An Expected Death

If the deceased is in hospital

The hospital will advise you on when you can expect the doctor’s certificate (the Medical Certificate of the Cause of Death) to be issued, this certificate needs to be taken to the Registrar of Births and Deaths. You will need an appointment with them. We will bring your loved one into our care as soon as we can, which is normally after the registration of the death.
